Born Lee Alexander McQueen in March 1969 Alexander Mcqueen was a British fashion designer and ^.creative mastermind behind one of the HOTTEST Haute Couture collections of our time. He was chief designer at Givenchy from 1996 to 2001 setting of to found his own label Alexander McQueen earning him numerous awards and accolades such as British Designer of the Year. McQueen's illustrious history doesn't stop there .. he is known for his cutting edge designs producing some of the most sought after runway and print looks that fashionistsas globally cannot get enough of. His collections are worn by some of the most famous faces in the world including Princess Kate upon her marriage to Prince William several years back. A go to style icon studied to the last detail by many ... for even a clue into this design masters process. I'm talking jaw dropping lines, shapes, fabrication, craftsmanship and detail. McQueen ... well versed and trained in the art of fashion made his mark in the biz with his trademark theatric imagery in design and live shows that often shocked the crowds. Under it all there is no denying this man had talent beyond words dressing celebs such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Rhianna, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, and Lady Gaga to name only a few. As a designer and creative I am in LOVE with the bodies of work created by the one and only Alexander McQueen. I am delighted that the label still thrives in his spirit having appointed McQueen's right hand assistant to the helm of "Alexander McQueen" since his passing in Feb of 2010. Alexander McQueen had much to say and he said it well through his work in the brief time that he was ours leaving behind a legacy and inspiring future generations to create, shock and test the limits of their artistry. As for me ... McQueen will always be Queen Bee !!!
